Mumbai :

As Mumbai is the first departure destination of the train, tourists will explore the Mumbai city. It is the financial capital of India and the entertainment hub of the country. Sindhudurg Ocean Fort & Tarkali Beach :

The founder of the Maratha kingdom Shivaji built this fort around 1664-67 AD. This was once the naval base of Maratha Empire. Tarkarli is a scenic beach located at the confluence of Karli River and the Arabian Sea. It is 6 kms away from Malvan. This is called as ‘Queen Beach’ of Sindhudurg.

Goa, the Pearl of the East :

Goa, once a Portuguese colony is the smallest state of India located on the west coast of India. Goa is mostly known for the scenic palm-fringed beaches yet Old Goa houses some Portuguese heritage. Daulatabad, a 14th century fort city in Maharashtra state is just 16 kms away from Aurangabad. The main attraction is the Daulatabad Fort which was once the head quarters of the powerful Yadava rulers. It was also the capital of Mohammed bin Tughlak, who renamed the old city Deogiri as Daulatabad, or City of Fortune.

Ellora Caves located in close distance from Aurangabad is one of the major old heritage destinations of India. The caves of Ellora comprise of sculpture works of Buddhism, Hinduism and Jainism. The caves excavations date back to 5th to 11th centuries.

Bibi-Ka-Muqbara of Aurangabad built by Prince Azam Shah, son of Emperor as a tribute to his mother Rabia Durrani is also an attraction in Aurangabad. It is an imitation of Taj Online Booking Luxury TourMahal and hence called as poor man’s Taj.

Chandrapur & Wardha : 

Located in Chandrapur district in the Vidharba region of eastern Maharashtra, Tadoba-Andhari Tiger is 45 km north of Chandrapur. One will see here Gandhi’s way of life, the attractions and sites to be visited are Adi Nivas (First Residence), Prayer Ground, Bapu Kuti, Ba Kuti, Gandhiji's Secretariat, Bapu's Kitchen, Akhari Niwas (Last Abode) and Gandhiji's Exhibits.

Ajanta Caves and Nashik (Panchawati) :

The last destinations of Deccan Odyssey Train are Ajanta Caves, the World Heritage Site and Nashik. Ajanta Caves are 2nd century BC temples of Buddhist art and sculptures. There are 34 excavated caves in Ajanta which are a feast to the eyes of an art lover or heritage freak.

Panchawati is a pilgrimage site in Nashik on the bank of River Godavari which is related to stories of Hindu Epic Ramayana. It is here that Ram spent his exile days with wife Sita and brother Laxman. Ravana abducts Sita from Panchawati Van. This site houses some temples and also famous for Kumbha Mela.
